Steering solution for the management of pumping stations

  • Steering solutions for the management of wet pumping stations provides intelligent management, control and operating protection which is guaranteed with:
    • continuous or discrete measurement of the liquid level in the shaft;
    • the control system and protection functions of the electrical system (flow, short circuit, thermal protection, control over characteristics and symmetry of the three-phase system, engine current overload etc.);
    • implemented mathematical models of the KSB pumps.
  • Steering solution for the management of dry pumping stations according to the patented technology of KSB dry pumping stations, provides intelligent management, control and operating protection which is guaranteed with:
    • the continuous measurement of the liquid level in the tank and the redundant detection of liquid in the separator,
    • the control system and protection functions of the electrical system (flow, short circuit, thermal protection, control over characteristics and symmetry of the three-phase system, engine current overload etc.);
    • measuring the hydraulic parameters of the KSB pumps PumpMeter and/or implemented mathematical models of the KSB pumps.

All mechanisms provide the following functions:  

 

  • Introduction of a number of protective mechanisms that prevent the operation of the pump in operating conditions which may damage the equipment, and the immediate protection and alarm in case of defective equipment or system (dry running, cavitation, clogging or interruption of the pipeline, air pockets in the system, etc.).  
  • Ensuring maximum service life and loading balancing pumps.
  • Monitoring the dynamics of pumping and the detection of changes in the operating characteristics. In this way, it is possible to predict the necessary interventions on the pumping equipment (cleaning separators, cleaning of suction or pumping station pressure lines, service stations, etc.). 
  • Monitoring of the statistical data of the operation of the pumping station (operating hours, duration and number of activations of pumps etc.) and the dynamic adaptation of the operating parameters regarding the change in inflow to the pumping station (in case of storms etc.)
  • Monitoring the condition of the steering and measuring equipment, and the detection of abnormalities (detection of equipment overload, detection of faults on the measuring level probe etc.).

Steering solution for the management of dry pumping stations consists of: 

  • 5.7" colour touch operating panel for local control, parametrizing and operation;
  • SMS-notification and warning through the local GSM modem (optional);
  • possibility of connection into telemetry systems through the protocol Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP (optional);
  • possibility of integration into a web telemetry portal.

  • the possibility of the integration of dry and wet pumping stations into web server-based remote control solutions;
  • capturing and archiving of data in the local database;
  • the implementation of the advanced analyses of pumping systems on the basis of data collected, generating proposals for preventive maintenance and optimization of the operation and system configuration, monitoring of pumping system configurations and integrated components, tracking of performed maintenance procedures;

Measurements or dynamic calculations of the working parameters of pumps (pressure on the suction and pressure side, pressure pumping height, flow, optimal working point of the pump on the pump curve, power on the axle etc.) with measuring the hydraulic parameters of the KSB pumps PumpMeter.
